Today at NDGAI we are immensely proud of our very own Commercial Director, Lee Trueman, who is shortlisted for the “Wellbeing Leader Award” in the small company category taking place at the InsideOut Awards gala this evening at The Troxy – London.
Mental health includes emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It determines how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Being able to be your true self is one of the strongest components of good mental health. At any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety. Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.
We know Lee is an advocate and supports issues relating to mental health but we couldn’t be prouder that he has been acknowledged for his relentless and continuous efforts in raising awareness.
If you already follow us across social media platforms you will have noticed content related to the subject of mental health including topics such as; stress awareness, suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
Lee has not only helped us write about these difficult topics but has spoken out about imposter syndrome – a social anxiety disorder by sharing his own experiences on stage with a friend, Marc Caulfield.
Enabling these difficult subjects to be discussed more openly, we hope will help continue to #smashthestigma. Thank you Lee for helping us all feel more comfortable talking more openly about these subjects, we wish you the very best for tonight.
To all of the other inspirational finalists shortlisted for an award, to us, you are already winners! Keep up the fantastic work – The NDGAI team
